Below you will find the Terms and condition for Little-arrow.com (hereinafter referred to as LA, us, we, our) which applies to any information provided or collected through this Web site. Please read this to learn about our terms. We understand that booking online involves significant trust on your part. We value your trust and make it a high priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us.

General

LA can in no way be held responsible for any information supplied by third parties, accidents, medical costs, loss, damages, cancellations, modifications, theft etc. The rental agreement is an agreement exclusively between the guest and the guesthouse/apartments owner. LA cannot be held responsible for over booking or prices in general. The accommodation owner is responsible for in compliance with any applicable laws, rules, regulations and tax obligations that may apply to their use of the LA site. LA reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. It is your responsibility to read these terms regularly to view if there have been any changes. By using this service after any changes to the terms, you accept that you are aware of any changes.

Bookings

Once you have found the perfect accommodation complete the booking process online. The property is available if it is listed so on the site. You will be asked to provide your credit card information and billing address. You will then receive a booking confirmation by e-mail once the payment has been received. When booking has been made you will be charged immediately. The funds will be held by LA until the second day of your arrival, and it will be released to the owner of the accommodation, except our service charges. This allows you time and opportunity to meet your host and view your housing. If you feel that the property was misrepresented contact LA immediately with a detailed description and a few photos to help support your claim.

Payment

Payment for the guesthouse/accommodations must be made to us in Euros (EUR), paid either by Credit Card (Visa / MasterCard). It is also possible to pay by bank transfer to secure a booking. All prices on the website are including VAT. If the booking is made less than 45 days before commencement of the rental period, payment must be made with a bank transfer due to our obligation to the owner of the accommodation. Rules

Utilize house rules to specify the owner’s house rules for age, occupancy restrictions, expected behaviour, check –in/out time, Id’s, and key exchanges.

For making a booking you must be 20 years or older, least one of the guests must be at that age. When renting out the holiday home in the period between Christmas and New Years Eve (all days included) and when renting out to youth groups the owner or his representative is entitled to charge a deposit. If you depart earlier than planned there will be no refund.

The holiday home may only be occupied by the maximum number of persons stated in the description. It is though permitted to bring one child under the age of 2 in addition to the maximum number of persons allowed.

Most of the apartments that are rented through LA are privately owned. Please respect other residents of the building. Neither loud music nor noise is permitted between 10 pm and 8 am and there are no party’s allowed in the accommodation. LA is entitled to request that the client and his guests leave the accommodation if he breaks this rules regarding disturbing the neighbours or shows bad behaviour, without the right for later claims of any kind.


Additional cost for damages - the tenant will be liable for any damage caused by him.

The tenant is liable to pay compensation, if for some reason any damages occur to the accommodation or items belonging to property owner, while the guests stay in the property. All damages and faults should be reported right away to the property owner and to LA.

Cleaning and consumption

The cleaning of the holiday home is included in the price unless other is stated in the house rules.  The consumption of electricity, heat, gas and water is included in the price unless other is stated in the house rules.

Complaints

If your rented accommodation is not properly cleaned at your arrival day, you must complaint to the host. If the accommodation was not as represented at the site the guest should complain directly to the Host. If the Guest feels that the problem may concern a refund, he should contact LA. However, LA will not issue a refund unless the guest reaches an agreement with the host first.

In case of any dispute relating to these terms it shall be construed and enforced in accordance by the laws of Iceland.

Cancellation policy

The tenant may cancel the tenancy agreement at any time prior to the rental date.

Little-arrow reserves the right to always keep 15% confirmation fee to cover our costs. All cancellations must be made by e-mail.

For cancellation made with more than 45 days prior to arrival the tenant will be repaid 85 % of the total payment. If the guest cancels booking 44-30 days (both days included) before his arrival, 50% of the total payment will be repaid. If the guest cancels booking 29-15 days before his arrival, 25% of the total payment will be refunded. If the cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to his arrival, there will be no refund. Please notice that the cancellation policy applies as soon as payment has been finalized. The reason for this policy is that it can be difficult to rent the holiday homes in short notice, and your booking has prevented us from offering the property to other people. Please note that changing a booking will not give the customer the right to a refund on the credit card surcharge or administration fee.

Arrivals and departures

Check in time at the holiday home is 2 p.m. and the guest must leave the accommodation no later than 11 a.m. on the final day of the rental period. The owner will meet you at the accommodation to deliver the key at the arrival day.

Privacy Policy

Personal Information usage:

LA will require personal information – such as your name, postal and e-mail address, and others specified in reservation forms – in order to process your reservation. This information is used only in order to send you the confirmation about your reservation. Little-arrow also collects non-personally identifiable information, which may be linked to your personal information’s, including your log-in name, password, e-mail, postal and IP address and phone number.

How we protect your information

We want you to feel confident about using this website and we are committed in protecting the information we receive. We have implemented appropriate administrative, technical and physical security procedures to help protect the personal information you provide to us. For example, only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information and they may only do so for permitted business functions. In addition, we use encryption when transmitting your sensitive personal information between your system and ours, and we employ firewalls to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your information.

When do we send you emails?

When you make a reservation, we confirm it via e-mail. After leaving the apartment, we e-mail you a questionnaire, in which you can make comments about our service. It is not required to fill this out.
